I headed out to Dunany, County Louth for a dawn shoot on Sunday morning. When I got there I realised that I had left the tripod plate at home, so it did’nt look like I would get a shot at all that morning after getting out of my warm bed at 5:30 am !!
I tried strapping the camera to the top of the tripod , but this didnt really work. Fortunately I had a towel in the car . I folded this up to make a soft “cushion” to rest the camera on at the top of the tripod. It . It was hard work trying to keep the camera steady for between 1 and 2 seconds which was the exposure I needed in order to capture some nice movement in the water. I pretty much stayed in the same position for the duration of the shoot.
My perseverance paid off and I was happy with the final result 🙂 I dont do many mono conversions, but thought the black and white suited this image.
